Step 1:
Remove the external protective cover of the equipment. Next, detach the flange connecting the gearbox to the main shaft, creating space for later disassembly of the shafts and blades.
Step 2:
Sequentially remove the connection flange from the main shaft, the bearing caps on both sides of the shaft, and the screws holding the upper and lower housing together. After removal, use specialized lifting tools to carefully lift the upper housing. Check the condition of each blade shaft to identify which ones have damaged blades or guards.
Step 3:
Lift and secure the damaged shaft, then remove the bearing facing away from the gearbox. It’s important to note the installation order and orientation of the blades during this step to avoid misalignment during reassembly. Remove all blades and guards from the shaft until the damaged parts are reached, replacing them with new, qualified components.
Step 4:
Reassemble the components in reverse order, paying close attention to the markings to ensure correct installation. Replace the bearings, bearing caps, and connection flange. Carefully reset the upper housing and tighten all screws.
Finally, reinstall the connection flange between the gearbox and the main shaft, as well as the protective cover. This completes the entire replacement process.
