Brief introduction

Copper granulators (also called copper wire pelletizers or dry-type copper granulators) are core equipment for the recycling of waste wires and cables. They employ a dry physical sorting process to completely separate the copper core and plastic sheath of the cable, producing high-purity copper granules and clean plastic pellets. This significantly increases the market value of the waste material and is widely used in recycling plants and cable dismantling and processing plants.

I. Processing Material Range
Suitable for various mixed and insulated waste copper wires and cables: automotive wires, motorcycle wiring harnesses, network cables, communication cables, household appliance wires, power cords, electrical cables, fine wires, and incompletely stripped copper wires.

✅ Can process thick cables, ordinary wires, and fine, soft mixed wires;

❌ Not suitable for cables with large amounts of thick rubber or steel wire armor (armored cables require a pre-shredding device).

II. Working Principle (Dry Process) The entire production line consists of a feeding system, crushing, magnetic separation, airflow gravity separation, electrostatic separation, and a dust removal system.

1. Waste cables are fed into the crushing chamber, where moving and fixed blades shear and pulverize them, completely breaking down the copper core and plastic sheath into copper-plastic mixed granules.
2. Magnetic separation automatically removes iron wires and other iron impurities to prevent interference with subsequent sorting.
3. The mixed granules enter an airflow vibrating separator: copper, being denser, sinks and exits through the copper outlet; plastic, being lighter, is carried away by the airflow, achieving initial separation.
4. The mixture, with incomplete separation of fine wires, enters an electrostatic separation unit for secondary purification based on differences in conductivity.
5. A pulse dust collector is installed throughout the process, collecting all dust and ensuring clean discharge, ultimately yielding high-purity copper granules and plastic particles.

The entire process is dry, requiring no water washing or chemical additives, resulting in no wastewater pollution.
