When we use shredders, many customers will report uneven materials, some large and some small. Today, we will tell you the reasons and how to solve this problem.

Main reasons
1. The tool is worn or the gap is too large (resulting in insufficient shearing and larger discharging granularity);
2. The screen is blocked or damaged (blocking the discharge of qualified materials, leading to the mixing of coarse particles);
3. Uneven feeding or large material size difference (causing load fluctuation and affecting crushing stability);
4. The spindle is eccentric, the bearing is loose or the transmission system is abnormal (causing mechanical vibration and destroying the consistency of crushing);
5. The material humidity is too high or contains impurities (leading to adhesion, winding and screen hole blockage).
Solutions
1. Regularly check, grind or replace the tool, and keep the tool clearance within the range of 0.5–3 mm;
2. Stop every shift to clean the screen, replace it immediately if it is damaged, and use compressed air or soft brush to clean it;
3. Adding feeding weighing sensor and frequency conversion control system to realize uniform and continuous feeding;
4. Add a pre-sorting or impurity removal device in front of the feed inlet to avoid the mixing of hard objects;
5. Check the tension of the spindle, bearing and belt to ensure the stable operation of the transmission system;
6. Adjust the rotating speed of the equipment and the aperture of the screen according to the material characteristics (such as hardness and humidity).
