Metal crusher is suitable for crushing all kinds of metal materials, including but not limited to:

Principle of operation

The working principle of metal crusher revolves around the four core links of “feeding-crushing-screening-discharging”, and realizes the crushing treatment of metal materials by combining the effects of mechanical impact, extrusion and shearing.

1. In the feeding process, the metal materials to be crushed enter the equipment through the feeding hopper, and some equipment is equipped with vibrating feeding devices or conveyor belts, which can transport the materials to the crushing cavity evenly and continuously, so as to avoid the blockage caused by the accumulation of materials at the feeding port. At the same time, the feeding speed can be controlled by the feeding adjusting device to adapt to metal materials with different sizes and hardness.

2.After entering the crushing stage, the rotor inside the crushing cavity is the core working part. The rotor is driven by the motor through belt transmission or coupling and rotates at high speed (usually at the speed of 500-1500r/min). A plurality of hammers (such as high manganese steel hammers and alloy hammers) are installed on the rotor. When the metal material enters the crushing cavity, the high-speed rotating hammer will produce strong impact force on the material, crushing large pieces of material; At the same time, the material will be squeezed, rubbed and sheared with the liner and other materials in the crushing cavity, further refining the particle size of the material. For metal materials with high hardness (such as scrap steel), the synergistic effect of hammer and liner can effectively overcome the strength of the materials and realize crushing; For soft metal materials (such as aluminum products), the crushing is mainly completed by impact and shear.

3.Screening is the key to ensure the qualified particle size of crushed materials. There are usually sieve plates (such as punching sieve plates and woven sieve plates) below the crushing cavity, and the pore size of the sieve plates can be selected according to the demand, which determines the discharging particle size of the crushed materials. The crushed materials fall under the action of gravity, and the materials meeting the granularity requirements will enter the discharging system through the pores of the sieve plate; However, the materials larger than the aperture of the sieve plate will be left in the crushing cavity and continue to be impacted by the hammer and other forces until they meet the particle size requirements and pass through the sieve plate.

4.Finally, in the discharging process, the qualified materials passing through the sieve plate will fall into the discharging conveyor belt or the discharging hopper, which will be transported to the designated location (such as the silo and sorting equipment) by the conveyor belt to complete the whole crushing process. Some metal crushers are also equipped with dust removal devices to collect the dust generated during the crushing process and reduce the pollution to the environment; At the same time, the control system will monitor the operation parameters of the equipment in real time (such as motor current, crushing chamber temperature, feed rate, etc.), and if there is abnormality (such as overload and blockage), it will send out an alarm signal or automatically stop the machine to ensure the safe operation of the equipment.
