The motor system is seriously damaged.

Overheating and burning of the winding: When the current exceeds the rated value, the motor winding will be heated sharply due to Joule thermal effect, and the insulation material will be accelerated to age and carbonize, which will eventually lead to turn-to-turn short circuit or ground breakdown, and the motor will be completely scrapped.

Abnormal wear and seizure of bearings: overload torque causes the bearings to bear radial/axial loads far exceeding the design, resulting in fatigue peeling (pitting) on the surface of the rolling elements, and “dry friction” caused by high-temperature carbonization of grease, which can lead to sintering seizure of the bearings within 10 minutes, further aggravating the motor stall.

Deformation or fracture of the rotating shaft: continuous overload causes the rotating shaft to bear torsional stress beyond the material strength limit, which is light to bend and cause “bore sweeping” (friction between rotor and stator), and heavy to directly fracture, which leads to the failure of interlocking machinery.

Solution

1. Check the bearing. If the bearing burns out, it will easily lead to excessive motor current. At this point, we need to replace the bearing in time, and analyze the causes of bearing burning, and troubleshoot it in a targeted manner to prevent the same situation from happening next time.

2. Check the bearing lubrication, improper lubrication will also lead to excessive motor current. In addition, when the feeding force is too large, the crusher needs more crushing force to deal with these larger materials, thus increasing the current. Therefore, it is suggested to feed continuously and evenly to keep the feeding intensity within a reasonable range.

Finally, we need to check whether there are foreign objects entering. If there are foreign objects entering, we need to discharge them as soon as possible, and add corresponding protective measures to avoid more problems. These are some reasons why the crusher is easy to cause the motor current to be too large, and each boss can adjust it according to his own situation.
